Nine Years of Support for the Spinal Research Foundation

Tioga Holdings, Inc (THI) and its affiliates AKG and Armored Cloud are proud to announce that it has completed its 9th year as a corporate sponsor of the Reston based Spinal Research Foundation (SRF).
SRF is a patient focused a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving spinal health through research, education, and patient advocacy. They empower patients with knowledge and hope. Over the years THI has been a leading sponsor of the SRF "We’ve Got Your Back" race as well as being a major donor to SRF's research programs.
THI's Chief Executive Officer Michael H. Howland, who is also a co-founder of SRF, said recently, "SRF fills a unique gap in the spinal research community whereas it is a fully independent research organization with no connections to corporate sponsored research or other focused research programs.
The greatest cause of workplace absence is spine related and the vast majority of Americans suffer from some kind of spine related medical issue. As a company, we are delighted to be part of an effort to address a medical issue that affects so many of us."
Howland went on to say, "THI has worked closely with its technical community partners to develop and manage the development of SRF's Spine on Line (SOL) cloud based research tool. SOL is best of breed technology that will provide SRF with a one of a kind nationally focused free research tool to facilitate the independent research done by SRF." Howland added, "THI's leadership of the SOL development has been a pro-bono effort."
